Jason Voorhees Joins MKX in May

NetherRealm Studios plans to introduce more characters to Mortal Kombat X with DLC, including horror film legend Jason Voorhees. Now fans know how long they have to wait to play as the Friday the 13th villain.

On a recent Twitch stream, NetherRealm announced that Jason will be available in Mortal Kombat X on May 5 for season pass holders. The season pass, titled the "Kombat Pack," costs $29.99. Other characters in the season pass include Predator, Tanya, and Tremor.

Mortal Kombat X players who don't own the Kombat Pack will still be able to purchase and download Jason. Unfortunately they must wait an additional week to gain access to the hockey-masked killer.

I'm not a big fan of guest characters in fighting games, but for some reason a man with a hockey mask and cleaver in the Mortal Kombat universe works for me. Are other MKX players excited about Jason joining the roster?
