Dirt Rally Hits Steam Early Access

Developer Codemasters announced a new Overlord game last week, but the company is best known for the Dirt series. Well, Codemasters revealed Dirt Rally earlier today and then promptly released it on Steam Early Access.

The next entry in the series already includes 36 rally stages and 17 vehicles. The Early Access version also features a career mode, daily/weekly/monthly challenges, and league support. Codemasters will add more stages, cars, and features over time.

It appears the studio plans to officially release Dirt Rally in 2016, as the game will stay in Early Access until the end of the year. According to Codemasters, "we want you to feel like part of the development team and help us build a better game."

Fans of the series can purchase the game now for $31.49, though the price goes up to $34.99 next week. In addition, Codemasters will increase the price throughout Early Access and after release to reflect the changes made to the game.
