Ever played Taiko Drum Master? It's this:

There's a Vita Version now, and since Japan loves to name software after the hardware it appears on, it's called Taiko Drum Master: V Version. There's sadly no real drumming involved, but I can't say I'm surprised. I don't want to take twin touch pens and go smacking them against my Vita over and over again. I'd be afraid of breaking it or throwing off its calibration.

There were Taiko games on DS and (I think) 3DS like that. I'd watch kids play them with the drum sticks and just think Oh dear….
