My Favorite Last-Gen Game Finally Has a Release Date for PS4, Xbox One

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is without a doubt my favorite game experience from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 era. Starbreeze managed to craft an adventure that merged gameplay and storytelling in some truly revolutionary ways, resulting in an experience that impacted me emotionally more than any other game before.

That's why I'm super stoked to share with you all the news that 505 Games is releasing the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 12 as a digital download. Shortly thereafter, on September 1 in North America and September 4 in Europe, the game will be available at retail for both platforms.

But is it really worth getting excited about if you've already played it? Yes, yes it is. This remastered version will feature a handful of extras, and I intend to replay the game for the added director's commentary alone. A soundtrack and art gallery are being packed in as well.

Brothers will also be coming to iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices later this year at an unspecified date during the holiday season.
