You Can Play Gears of War 4 As Early As April Thanks To Multiplayer Beta

Gears of War 4 is just around the corner. In preparation of its debut, Microsoft is looking to invite Xbox gamers to play the game and provide feedback.

The testing will come in the form of a Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta on Xbox One. Although it is unclear precisely what will be incorporated into the beta, Microsoft has mentioned that it'll be multiplayer focused and intended to balance the environment for competition.

All consumers who purchase Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One or PC before April 11th will be guaranteed a spot in the early access phase of the beta, which spans from April 18th to the 24th. Everyone else who has an Xbox Live Gold subscription can play in the open beta from April 25th to May 1st.

Gears of War 4's campaign will support two-player co-operative play, but only competitive multiplayer will be accessible during the beta.

Gears of War 4 is scheduled to release in Q3 2016 exclusively for Xbox One.
