Don’t Worry, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister’s Location Isn’t Really Being Delayed

When Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister's Location developer Scott announced that this week's release is being delayed in order to make the game "more mature", a lot of fans were disappointed. So much, in-fact, that the news post on Steam now has over 6,000 comments.

The post itself was quite odd, to a point where it raised suspicion from the get-go. Nonetheless, several outlets covered the delay (including Kotaku), and fans were ready to wait a bit longer to play the game. A buzz kill, to say the least.

It turns out that the post was a joke all along. Scott updated the post with the following:

EDIT: (As most of you have figured out, the game's not delayed, see you Friday) 😉

Would any other game be willing to fake a delay? Probably not, but Five Nights at Freddy's is so popular that it didn't even matter.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister's Location will release tomorrow. I'm not seeing a price tag, so it's probably $59.99 like No Man's Sky.
