Metro: Last Light Won’t See The Light Of Day Until 2013

Metro 2033 was a refreshing departure from the stagnant last few years of first-person shooters, so it isn't surprising that a sequel is coming later this year. Oh wait, no it isn't.

Instead of being able to enjoy the gorgeous visuals of Metro: Last Light in the third quarter of this year, you'll have to wait until 2013. THQ CEO Brian Farrell stated that the delay is to ensure that the game is as polished as possible when it finally comes out.

Just yesterday a report confirmed that over 170 employees at THQ were laid off alongside a pay cut to several members of management. Adding polish might be partially true, but having to do just as much work with fewer people is probably the bulk of the reason for the delay.
