Three Voice Actors Confirm Return For Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut

After a few years of heavy development BioWare employees were able to sit back and relish in their success with Mass Effect 3. Well, at least for a handful of days. Concerns over the abrupt ending of the game prompted them to begin working on post-game DLC that will tie everything together. Not only has the work for what they're calling the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut already begun, but we have confirmation of a few of the characters who will be returning for the second go.

The voice of Normandy's AI, who is best known by the alias EDI, will be the first to return for the upcoming DLC. EDI's voice actress, Tricia Helfer, told G4 the following:

I'm voicing some more Mass Effect on Monday,

Similarly, Lance Henriksen, the voice behind Admiral Steven Hackett, confirmed to G4 during a video interview that he'll also be returning. He stated:

I just did another session with them [BioWare]… They were saying there's a little bit of a problem with the abruptness of the ending. So we did a whole series of things to add to the end of the game, to live up to the quality they've been doing.

Lastly, Kaidan Alenko's voice actor, Raphael Sbarge, confirmed through Twitter that he'll be coming back for some more action. He Tweeted:

Just when you thought I would never go back, they keep PULLING me back in #MassEffect!! Recording!! Yay! Wha-hoo!

There will certainly be more people returning to join for the true ending of Mass Effect 3, but for now we at least know that part of Normandy's crew will be back in action.
