Certain Affinity Behind Halo 4’s Forge Mode, Details Inside

Those of you – unlike myself – who have a strong creative side and adore designing maps, have a lot to look forward to with Halo 4's Forge mode. This easy to use map editor first made an appearance back during the days of Halo 3 and really resonated with a large portion of the audience. To me, map editing just feels like work, but hey, to each his own.

Interestingly enough, Crimson Alliance developer Certain Affinity will be handling Halo 4's Forge mode. The announcement was made over the weekend during the Rooster Teeth Expo. During the panel, the team showed off a number of changes that will make Forge a much more user-friendly and customizable experience. You'll now be able to lock objects in place on the map and replicate items with ease, facilitating the creation of larger structures. Not only that but players will be able to magnetize objects allowing them to connect and form various structures like bridges without any hassle.

YouTube user Emiglacius managed to capture a decent chunk of the panel, which you can check out below.

Halo 4 is set to launch on November 6th.
