Total War: Warhammer II Gets a Release Date, New Trailer

Creative Assembly’s next title, Total War: Warhammer II: Battle at the Fallen Gates is coming to PC tacticians everywhere on September 28th, 2017. The big time strategy titles was shown off at the E3 PC Gaming show earlier this morning. It introduces a new part of the Warhammer world and four new playable races.

It may seems like a quick turnaround, with the original Total War: Warhammer releasing last May. But it’s all part of Creative Assemblies plan to release a trilogy within the Warhammer series, with two separate teams working on content for it.

The identity of the fourth playable race is still a mystery, but you can see three of the new races, the High Elves, Dark Elves, and Lizardmen clash in the new trailer.

A special “Serpent God” edition was also announced with some extra goodies including a DLC pack for the original Total War, a Saurus Blade Necklace USB, an art book, and various pieces of hefty swag like a puzzle sphere and actual totems. If all that sounds like a bit much, a limited edition will also be available that includes a metal case and insider guide that are also included in the special edition.
