You Can Bring Your Biggest Rival with You to Middle-earth: Shadow of War

In anticipation of the upcoming release of Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Warner Bros. has announced that players will be able to import an enemy directly from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

The functionality is part of a massive free update for Shadow of Mordor called Nemesis Forge. As detailed in the reveal video below, a new mode allows you to sort through a list of characters you’ve encountered, and choose one to bring with you into the upcoming game. Made better, you can choose an ally to come along with you for the ride.

In the case of the latter, this is made possible by a new Followers system, which functions similar to Nemesis but with allies. You can read about how this works and more in our E3 preview.

This mode will not only be available to those who own a copy of Shadow of Mordor,  but anyone with a gaming PC or Xbox One. From now until July 9th, the game is available as a free trial on these two platforms. This coincides with a major sale that has made the full game available at 80% off MSRP.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 10th.
