NeoGAF Owner “Evilore” Accused of Sexual Assault

NeoGAF is in danger of imploding as a result of its owner being accused of sexual assault, with allegations levelled at Tyler Malka causing many veteran moderators to step down.

Tyler Malka, known as Evilore on the gaming forum, was accused of sexual assault in a Facebook post by an alleged former friend. The allegations, made earlier this week, were screenshotted and posted to NeoGAF, with the woman initially not naming Malka as a result of him being “semi-famous,” but then going on to say:  “F**k it. Google Evilore.”

The woman claimed that after a night of drinking with Malka in their hotel room, she “was throwing up and decided to hop in the shower to feel better.” She claimed that without her consent, Malka then “got into the shower, fully naked” behind her. The woman continued that she had a boyfriend at the time, and that she hadn’t given him any reason to believe that she wanted him to get in the shower with her.

Malka previously admitted to grabbing a woman without her consent in 2012, after she had asked him to buy her a drink. “I laughed, because drinks here were all of two Euros, but consented and then grabbed her ass hard to show that I wasn’t being taken advantage of, and she thought better of treating me as a mark and left without taking her drink,” he wrote in a post on the site.

The allegations made on Facebook can be viewed below:

I remember a man, who claimed to be my friend, going on a road trip to New Orleans.

In NOLA we drank and had fun and one night we had been drinking in our hotel room and I got sick.

I was throwing up and decided to hop in the shower to feel better.

I was surprised when he got into the shower, fully naked, behind me.

I had a boyfriend at the time and didn’t think I had given him any reason to believe I wanted this. I don’t cheat.

So I told him that it wasn’t ok[ay], that I was sick, that I had a boyfriend, that I didn’t want that.

He got out and slowly started resenting me, being mean to me, ignoring me… in a city he drove me to.

I couldn’t wait to get home.

I couldn’t tell my partner for fear that he would claim I led him on.

My relationship with my boyfriend suffered and we broke up soon after that.

I couldn’t come out about this situation because the perpetrator is a semi famous man who would have retaliated and I couldn’t afford to defend myself.

There are websites dedicated to this persons sexual assault history.

I didn’t know.

I was scared.

I was tired.

I still can’t post his name out of fear. Fear for a film he acted in for me. Fear of ridicule. Fear of not being believed.

I don’t want to be silent anymore.

I will post stories until I don’t feel like it anymore.

And there are so many.

The forum has been brought offline for “scheduled maintenance,” though prior to this downtime the majority of its users were calling out Evilore and posting bannable offenses in order to get themselves removed from the site. Malka has yet to post a statement regarding the allegations, with it being unclear how the site will progress from here on out.
