Microsoft Slashes The Price Of Kinect

Xbox spokesman Major Nelson has just revealed that the Xbox 360's motion-centric peripheral will now be priced 40 bucks cheaper, than its original asking price, bringing the new retail tag to $109.99. If for whatever reason you have a hankering for some Dance Central and haven't picked up the device yet, you're patience has paid off… I guess.

Right now this only applies to the US, though unspecified price reductions in the rest of North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific are planned as well. Starting October 4th, those in Australia and New Zealand will see a permanent discount as well.

As of right now, there are no plans to cut the price in Japan or EMEA, though something tells me they probably don't care either way.
