Assassin’s Creed Origins Adds New Game Plus in New Update Today

Assassin’s Creed Origins has added a New Game Plus mode in today’s new update. It arrives alongside the promised Discovery Tour mode.

Ubisoft has revealed several details regarding the New Game Plus mode. Players will be happy to know that all character progression will carry over to New Game Plus, including equipment such as weapons, shields, tools, outfits, and mounts. All abilities acquired and leftover available ability points will carry over as well, along with crafting status, player level, and experience points. The player’s inventory that carries over includes crafting materials, arrows, tools, animal goods and trinkets.

The developer has also revealed what will not be carried over into the New Game Plus. This includes targets, maps and discovered territories, location completion, quest completion, Senu’s perception, quest items, and papyri. Players who have grown used to having the hidden blade will have to start the New Game Plus without one. However, the crafting status of the hidden blade will carry over from their previous playthrough, once they have regained the use of the hidden blade.

Additionally, players will have to progress through the story again in order to regain access to activities like the arena, Trials of the Gods, and Hippodrome. Enemy scaling will also be automatically activated, although players can immediately deactivate this option at any time. In New Game Plus, the difficulty level will increase by one from player’s previous campaign. For instance, Easy will become Normal, Normal will become Hard and so on.

There will be a unique reward waiting for players who complete their New Game Plus campaign. However, that rewards remains undisclosed by Ubisoft at the moment. New Game Plus will not override player’s save games as it will be a separate save file.
