Two Executives Leave Bioware. More Mass Effect Starts At Bioware.

The world of Mass Effect hasn't retired. Commander Shepard, the Normandy Crew, the Illusive Man. They're still hard at work, thanks to some pretty sketchy pension programs on the Citadel. You think the universe stops turning or getting caught in some perilous war just because Bioware founders Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka retire?

You'd be wrong. Writing on the Bioware Blog, Aaryn Flynn, general manager of BioWare Edmonton and Montreal says the galaxy has plenty ahead of it:

Executive Producer Casey Hudson and his team are coming off an amazing eight-year run with the Mass Effect trilogy. But they're not done yet. We are releasing more multiplayer content and we have more single-player stories coming throughout the next six months, including Omega which is coming in the Fall. But the Mass Effect universe is vast, and Casey and our teams have plans for another full game. "Where to go next?" with such a project has been a question a lot of us have been asking, and we'd all love to hear your ideas.

Dating sim. It has to happen.

In all seriousness, I think Mass Effect needs to jump from "leader of the free world" to less strenuous circumstances. What if we could play a student in Jack's school for the biotically gifted, a la Persona 3? OK, now I have to have that.
