PUBG Mobile’s Arcade Mode Makes the Game Faster

There’s a new update for the mobile edition of PlayerUnknown’s Battleground that adds an arcade mode as well as a new training ground. However there’s something that has been added that makes the mobile edition that much more special: PUBG’s mobile arcade mode makes the game faster to complete.

An average game of PUBG on mobile can last up to 15 to 30 minutes, and sometimes it’s even more than that depending on the circumstances. To put it bluntly: it can take a long time. However, thanks to today’s update for iOS and Android mobile devices, the time taken has now been shrunk to about 5 to 10 minutes. This is pretty handy for mobile users, especially those who like to play on the go but don’t have time to commit to long matches. You can check out the video detailing more about the arcade mode, here.

The shorter time is achieved by making the safe area a lot smaller than it was, as well as having fewer starting players, 28 in total instead of a 100. Arguably this has the potential to make the game feel a lot more dynamic and intense, with fewer players and a smaller area, you only have so much time to get ready and go on your killing spree before someone catches up with you.

The shorter time also means that there’s less chance of your teammates (if you play in duos, etc) to run off in another direction entirely. Which means, shockingly, you’ll have to act as a team to survive. We’re no experts at PUBG but it definitely feels as though these changes are for the betterment of the game and the players.

However the arcade mode doesn’t just make the game faster, but it also added some novelty modes such as melee weapons only, snipers only, pistols only and shotguns only. While you may see this as a great training mode for certain weapons, you can also head to the actual training grounds added in this patch and test all the weapons you want.
