Nintendo has often been asked by fans whether Zelda, the clever princess who Link always seems to take a while to save, will be getting her own game anytime soon. It’s been met with one side accusing Nintendo of ‘SJW bulls***t’ for even entertaining the idea, whilst others just really want to play a Zelda game through the princess’ point of view. No matter what hoops they have to jump through to get it.
These modders, which have their very own Discord channel, are determined to make the Breath of the Wild game that suits them and they don’t much care if you like it or not. You’ve just gotta admire them for that, particularly when they mod characters like Mario and Knuckles into the game, because who doesn’t want to see Mario pull out the Master Sword?
The Zelda mod isn’t just a new creation however, it’s been going on for a while. But what makes this noteworthy is the obstacles modders have overcome in making Zelda seem realistic, such as adding new voice lines for her when she’s doing different things (swimming, climbing, etc) and creating her new outfits.
