Dante Will Die In One Hit On “Hell and Hell” Difficulty

Capcom has revealed on their official blog several tiers of difficulty levels, four in fact, for their upcoming reboot DmC. The Devil May Cry series has never been a stranger to ridiculously high difficulty settings, particularly the third installment, Devil May Cry: Dante's Awakening. But this time, Capcom has raised the bar to extraordinary heights.

The first two, Son of Sparda and Dante Must Die, are nothing too out of line as they are essentially Hard and Very Hard, respectively. You know, enemies with much HP and attack power, better dodge strategies, and lots of demon friends to help make Dante's life a little more Hellish.

But they're nothing compared to "Heaven or Hell" and "Hell and Hell" (much of a choice there…) which directs the game with an all-or-nothing approach. "Heaven or Hell" makes every character sturdy enough to withstand one-hit, including Dante himself. "Hell and Hell" takes one masochistic step further by just making Dante a one-hit weakling and everyone else ready to molest him with finger pricks.

Capcom describes "Hell and Hell" as something "for serious contenders". I guess that means I'm not a serious gamer anymore.
