Halo 4 Sees Massive Launch, Outperforms All Prior Entries

Halo 4 saw quite the impressive opening day last week, raking in a whopping $220 million in the first 24 hours. According to the Big M, these numbers outpace the launches of all prior entries, with the game currently on track to hit $300 million in its first week.

The company also noted that this has been the “the biggest entertainment launch of the year to date,” outperforming not only The Avengers, but also the largest film debut of all time, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Though, it is worth mentioning that there's a huge difference between movie ticket prices and game prices, especially when there's a limited edition Xbox 360 thrown into the mix—so bear that in mind.

Now that you've had nearly a full week to play Halo 4, let us know what you think of 343i's first effort in the comments below.
