If you were hoping to be playing Dragon Age 3: Inquisition on your Xbox 360 or PS3 by this time next year, you may be left feeling disappointed. According to the Linkedin profile of EA Shanghai level designer Tao Gu, the game could very well be coming to next-generation hardware in 2014.
Thanks to some crafty work by Supperannuation (via Kotaku) the level designer's resume states that the “scope of the DAIII has been chaged [sic], which will target next gen platform [sic] and will be postpone [sic] to 2014."
We already know that the game will be built on the Frostbite 2 engine, which allegedly runs beautifully on next-generation hardware, so it certainly sounds logical. Of course, since EA has yet to confirm the validity of this news, we can't go making any definitive statements quite yet. I just hope they use all of this new power to make the game as expansive and open-ended as possible.
