Kratos Was Originally Blue According To Series Creator

Did you know that Kratos was originally supposed to be blue—and no, not the sad kind. Literally blue… as in the color. God of War creator David Jaffe revealed the slightly surprising news this past weekend on his blog.

Apparently, it was "literally days" before the game's big debut back in 2005 when they decided to swap out the blue warpaint for red. The reason for this change stemmed from the character's striking similarity to the barbarian of Diablo II. “You can bet we changed it, lickity fuckin’ split,” Jaffe said crassly.

What do you think of Kratos sporting blue warpaint? I think he looks less indimidating, but that's just me. Share your thoughts in the comments below.
