Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII’s Debut Trailer Will Leave You Disappointed [Update]

Square Enix has been disappointing JRPG fans for many years now, and judging by the debut trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII​, it doesn't look like that trend is about to end any time soon. The video above (currently a GameTrailers exclusive) has been embedded above for your viewing pleasure.

Was watching that clip as painful for you as it was for me? Perhaps I'm far too cynical, as having witnessed the decline of the Final Fantasy franchise over the past few years has clearly left me jaded. Either way, share your thoughts in the comments below.
