Rumor: Ubisoft Interested In Bidding On THQ Studios And Franchises

Ubisoft is looking to purchase THQ's stable of studios and intellectual properties, if current chatter on the interwebs proves to be true.

Alleged inside sources told MCV that Ubi is looking to pick up a sizable chunk of the publisher's development teams and franchises, including Darksiders, Company of Heroes, Red FactionSaint’s Row, Homefront, and WWE. The publishers are supposedly negotiating right now, but Ubisoft apparently wants to hold out until they can get THQ's assets on the cheap.

Mind you, this is all just rumor right now, as both Ubisoft and THQ have not offered any sort of official statement. As such, keep it locked to GameRevolution for future updates on this potential purchase.
