Next Assassin’s Creed To Feature New Protagonist, New Setting, New Developer

Believe it or not, Ubisoft plans to pump out yet another Assassin's Creed game by April of next year, and fortunately, it won't be recycling Connor and the American Revolution.

According to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, the game will not only be "another major leap forward for the franchise," it will feature an "all-new Assassin's Creed hero, within an all new team and time period."

How are they pumping out Assassin's Creed games on such a frequent basis? Don't forget that Ubi has many, many teams working on the franchise, so this new one has already likely been in development for quite some time. "It is the benefit of multiple teams working on multiple chapters of the product, each getting several years to make their versions of an Assassin's Creed game," Guillemot added.

We don't know exactly which studio will be at the helm of this new Assassin's Creed, nor do we have any idea whether it will be for next-gen consoles, current hardware, or both. As such, keep it locked to GameRevolution for future updates.
