February Assassin’s Creed Odyssey update adds new game plus, increases level cap

The February Assassin’s Creed Odyssey update brings an increased level cap and new game plus to the open-world adventure. Ubisoft is also bringing a number of improvements and additions to the game, including new accessibility options.

Ubisoft detailed the contents of the February Assassin’s Creed Odyssey update in a recent blog post. A new side quest called A Brother’s Seduction from the Lost Tales of Greece series is being added to the game. The side quest can be started in the Port of Kechries and is a tale of family drama. The Lost Tales of Greece can be accessed after reaching chapter 5 of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey‘s main story, and this latest quest is available with the new update.

Title update 1.1.4 is coming slightly later this month but will bring the much-requested new game plus feature to Odyssey. New game plus can be started from the main menu at any time following the completion of the main story. Players can opt to play as either protagonist when starting new game plus, keeping the upgrades from their previous playthrough. Alongside this update comes a level cap increase to 99. The increase also adds three additional upgrade tiers at Hephaistos’s workshop and more ship improvements.

A number of game improvements and accessibility options are also coming in the new update. A total of 22 new fast travel points are being added to the game, with many near ports. New options for subtitle size and subtitle background are also being thrown into the mix, and Ubisoft is also adding a number of new frames to photo mode.

Several new item packs are being added to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The Wild Boar and the Shark packs each include a gear set, mount, and legendary weapon.

An update on the Assassin’s Creed 3 remaster was given as well. The remastered version of the game features a new UI, new character models, a new lighting system, and more. A comparison trailer was released showing the changes.
