Mario Golf 3DS Gets Exciting Online Details

Mario Golf: World Tour for the 3DS was announced in February, but little was known about what makes it new and exciting. Today's latest information straight from Nintendo cleared that up.

During today's lengthy Nintendo Direct broadcast online details were revealed for Mario Golf: World Tour. It's going to be set up similar to Mario Kart 7 with community options and customizeable conditions to give you control of how you play with friends or strangers. You can choose to play tournaments with special shots disabled or enabled, and even make it so everyone has to play as a certain character. You can go for a round of Luigi golf if you please.

The game will also support local multiplayer for those inclined. Not a bad option for killing time while riding around in a golf cart on a real golf course.

Mario Golf: World Tour will release during Summer 2013 for $39.99.
