All Xbox 360 gamers in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Japan will have access to Xbox Live Gold this weekend.

Microsoft's Major Nelson, announced that from now until Monday at 10AM PT, all Xbox Live accounts will be upgraded to Gold. So if you've got an Xbox 360 sitting around that isn't properly being used because you don't play online, this will be a great time to fire up a little competitive Halo 4 or perhaps Black Ops II.

Speaking of which, you'll be able to take advantage of double XP bonuses in Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Assassin’s Creed III, and Far Cry 3 this weekend as well.

So who's planning on spending some quality time with their Xbox this weekend?
