David Cage Says He Isn’t A Game Designer For The Money, But To Share His Imagination

Good guy David Cage.

David Cage shared with VG247 that he isn't in the business of creating games to make money. He said:

I put a lot of myself in the games we make. I don’t do work for hire. I don’t make games to make money. I make games by passion, because I want to share something, because I have something to tell.

His passion for storytelling has been evident in his creations. Heavy Rain was one of the most emotionally involved narratives of the last generation while Indigo Prophecy was full a complex cinematic experience.

Cage is presently working on Beyond: Two Souls which will be wrapping-up development in-time for release in October. It's said to have psychological, spiritual, and thriller elements weaved into a story that contemplates what happens after the moment of death. Sound deep? It's made by Cage so you know it will be.
