Sony Teasing Something Called Panopticon; Possible New Game

We hate countdowns as much as the next guy, but what about countups? Sony has updated their official Japanese PlayStation website with a counter teaser streaming video where the counter is actually counting upward to one million years. When it hits one million years, which just so happens to fall on next week, one would presume that a new game will be announced… or at worst, it'll reveal more countdown teasers or teaser trailers.

The game, or whatever it is, is called Panopticon—which means "seeing everything" in Greek. The digital clock, the barcode, and the all-seeing-ness of it makes it feel a bit like Watch_Dogs to me. But then the one million years of seeing could mean a more ancient or alien entity.

Who knows? We sure as shit don't, but we'll keep watching and waiting for what feels like one million years until next week when something more happens.

What do you think it is?
