PUBG Mobile is gearing up for another mashup with the PUBG Mobile x Godzilla: King of the Monsters crossover event. Details on what this crossover will consist of aren’t known yet. We’ve just got a logo and the knowledge that at some point in May PUBG Mobile players will start seeing clues in-game about Godzilla’s impending arrival.
Presumably, the Godzilla x PUBG Mobile crossover will work like the Resident Evil one did. There’ll likely be some fun new modes, event-themed skins, and all that cool stuff. The crossover is to commemorate the release of Godzilla: King of the Monsters in theaters, which features Godzilla fighting Rodan, Mothra, King Ghidorah, and other kaiju.
I still haven’t seen the last Godzilla movie (the one with Brian Cranston), but I heard it was good. I have no clue whether the latest film is a sequel or a reboot or whatever. The new one looks kind of like Pacific Rim without the robots, which seems entertaining. I’ll probably go see it in the second week it’s out or something.
I haven’t played a ton of PUBG Mobile, but I like that they get a little goofy with it. The Resident Evil 2 crossover was fun, and it seems like they put a lot of work into it. I hope we start seeing more imaginative stuff like these crossover events in the PC and console version of the game.
There’s no release date set for the PUBG Mobile x Godzilla: King of the Monsters crossover event yet. As I stated above, an update at some unspecified time this month should add some Godzilla-themed clues that players can discover. Just what those clues are is unknown as of yet.
If you’re interested in seeing Godzilla: King of the Monsters in theaters you don’t have long to wait. It debuts on Friday, May 31 across the United States.
