Kojima Looking For Studio To Remake MGS1 Using Fox Engine

Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima is interested in hiring a studio to remake his original PlayStation classic using the Fox Engine.

Kojima revealed his desire for this project during a roundtable interview, as reported by Gamereactor UK. Aside from the fact that the gameplay mechanics would need an upgrade, he didn't share any additional details.

Fans of the series will recall that the original Metal Gear Solid was already remade by Silicon Knights for the GameCube back in 2004. It's titled Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes and is totally awesome. If you haven't already played it, I highly recommend you track it down and give it a go.

Would you like to see a fully-fledged remake of MGS1? It's easily my favorite title in the series, so the answer to that question is an undeniable yes for me.
