European Devs Favor PS4 Over Xbox One, Wii U Interest Minimal

The PlayStation platform absolutely thrives in Europe, so it comes as no surprise that a recent survey of European developers indicates that PS4 is the next-gen console of choice in the region.

GDC Europe polled over 300 industry members before Microsoft reversed its DRM policies, so bear in mind that the sentiment may have changed since then.

That said, 13% of those polled are currently working on PS4 games, while 9% are developing for Xbox One and 5% for Wii U. In addition, 23% are planning on making a PS4 title, while 14% are considering Xbox One and a mere 7% are interested in Wii U.

Do you think that same level interest expands to other territories like North America? Is Sony really that far ahead of the competition? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below.
