EarthBound Coming To Wii U Virtual Console Today

EarthBound, the Super Nintendo cult classic, is making its way to Nintendo's digital library today in both North America and Europe. The game will be priced at $9.99 on the eShop.

In addition, Nintendo is making the original player's guide available online, with support for convenient use on the GamePad. Considering the depth and complexity of most RPGs from the SNES era, something tells me that a lot of gamers will be making use of the digital guide.

Are you planning on downloading EarthBound today? Do you even own a Wii U to purchase the game? If not, will this SNES release incentivize you to shell out the cash for Nintendo's tablet-centric console? Sound off in the comments below.
