Sony Rumored To Be Planning A PS4 And PS Vita Bundle

On the latest episode of Machinima's Inside Gaming Daily, it is rumored that Sony will be releasing a hardware bundle around the end of this year that consists of both a PS4 and a PS Vita. That's according to a "well-placed anonymous source". What really makes this rumor and hardware bundle appealing, though, is the suggested price of $500.

With the PlayStation 4 retailing for $399 itself, adding a PS Vita, which retails for $249.99, for only $100 more would create an amazing value for consumers between the two. This would really help Sony push more PS Vita systems overall, and it could mean that Sony is positioning the two devices to go together hand-in-hand.

The move could also signal that a price cut for the PS Vita is on the way. Or this all could be bullshit. Never put too much weight in a rumor.

My take is that if there is ever such a bundle, we may see it released as a Black Friday special of some sort to spur some really fast overnight sales, then the two will return to its regular separate pricing models.
