Ubisoft Announces Kinect-Based Fighting Game

Microsoft and Ubisoft aim to win over jaded gamers with a motion-based fighting game that delivers on the promises of Kinect. The game is called Fighter Within and is being developed by Daoka.

According to Ubi, Fighter Within "delivers the long awaited motion fighting promise, allowing players to throw punches and kicks in the most immersive competitive brawling experience." Whether or not that is truly the case remains to be seen. I guess we'll just need to take Ubisoft's word for it until we get some hands-on time with it ourselves.

The game is said to feature "1 to 1 precision movement tracking," so it certainly seems like the game is headed in the right direction. You can look forward to playing it this fall, exclusively on Xbox One.
