New Armored Core game teased by From Software manager? (UPDATE)

Update: Yasutaka Ogura has now confirmed that the update to his Twitter profile were not related to a new Armored Core game. In a statement provided to the Japanese publication GameSpark, Ogura called the connections between the picture and a new entry in the Armored Core series a “misunderstanding.”

new Armored Core game has been potentially teased by From Software, with the studio’s marketing manager changing his Twitter header to an image from the series. We already know that From Software has an additional project in the works alongside the upcoming Elden Ring, so fans of the mech series are optimistic that this image could suggest a new release is on its way.

Yasutaka Ogura, From Software’s marketing manager, updated their Twitter profile to feature an image from Armored Core: Verdict Day, the last entry in the Armored Core series released back in 2013:

While this isn’t exactly confirmation that From Software is working on a new Armored Core game, it’s certainly curious that the company’s marketing manager would display the series in their Twitter header, considering the studio is currently working on Elden Ring and released Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice earlier this year.

Back in December 2018, company president Hidetaka Miyazaki confirmed that From Software had two projects in the works. We eventually learned that one of these projects was Elden Ring, the studio’s collaboration with George R. R. Martin, while the other project has yet to be announced. Could this be the new Armored Core game that fans have been hoping for?
