There weren’t too many Paper Mario: The Origami King details revealed at the time. Now, that’s all changed — new information has been brought to light. One key element of this upcoming game will be whacking Toads with your hammer; this will free them from their origami prison. As you free more and more Toads, they’ll rebuild the town and open up shops and other locations.

New details on Mario’s equipment were also explained. Mario can equip new Hammers and Boots to gain new capabilities in combat, but these specialized tools will have durability and can break after a while. He won’t be rendered defenseless, mind; he’ll always have access to his basic equipment.
