Modern Warfare: Zombies would have been weirder than ever according to concept art

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was embraced by fans of the series, but there is one thing missing. Modern Warfare lacks the popular Zombies mode, but that doesn’t mean the developers never considered including it. Artist Aaron Beck revealed concept art from Modern Warfare that shows what the title’s Zombies mode could have looked like.

According to Beck, Modern Warfare: Zombies never got past the planning stage. This is a shame because the concept art shows a unique new take on Zombies that may have been a hit. The Modern Warfare version of Zombies looks like it would have been more grounded, escaping the last few entries’ zanier approach.

You can see Zombie Walker robots, each leading two zombies on leashes, flanking a special forces soldier. If this Zombies had come to fruition, we may have had to take on human, robotic, and undead foes, which would have really increased enemy diversity. Unfortunately, we’ll probably have to wait for this year’s Call of Duty, rumored to be a Black Ops reboot, to get a new rendition of Zombies.
