Fall Guys clone Fall Gang Knockout iOS players

Fall Guys is so popular it’s already been cloned

Believe it or not, there’s already a Fall Guys clone out in the wild less than a day after Mediatonic and Devolver Digital’s popular party game went live. Fall Gang: Knockout looks an awful lot like the popular PC and PS4 game, but judging from user reviews, it’s not quite as good as the original.

“Look how they massacred my boy,” stated the game’s official Twitter, highlighting some images of the Fall Guys clone on the iOS App Store. Understandably, response to the clone on Twitter has been a mix of incredulity and the usual complaints about the game and its servers.

Reviews of the clone aren’t that great, either. It currently sits at 2.0 out of 5 stars; reviews complain of awful controls, tons of intrusive ads, and the fact that this game appears to be strangely similar to another popular release.

The existence of a clone is certainly understandable; Fall Guys’ launch was so popular that the game’s servers got absolutely hammered on its first day. Although the developers had planned for an influx of players, it seems that they didn’t expect more than 1.5 million people to show up on day one.

Game clones are an unfortunate reality of the modern market. If you’d like to play the original (and superior) party battle royale game, you can buy Fall Guys on Steam or the PlayStation Store for $19.99 or your regional equivalent. Don’t forget that PS Plus members get it for free this month!
