I Played About Four Hours Of Need For Speed: Rivals On PS4 (And Here’s What It Looks Like)

Earlier this week I got hands-on with Need For Speed: Rivals on Sony's next-generation PlayStation 4 hardware. EA had both Xbox One and PS4 hardware set up for the preview event, but I went with Sony's console because the PR folks suggested it played and looked fantastic on PS4.

Read our full hands-on preview of Need For Speed: Rivals here because the game did, in fact, look fantastic and it's arriving day-and-date with PlayStation 4. Don't worry about it on Xbox One though.

My peers at the event who decided to play on Xbox One had no complaints about resolution or frame rate or anything like that. You can take a look at NFS: Rivals gameplay on Microsoft's console below too.

The best part about these clips is that they're largely unedited. What you see in these videos is what you'll get when you're actually playing NFS: Rivals at home on launch day… or later.. or whenever. Software on new consoles can be kind of slow so maybe you'll pick up Need For Speed after the launch day glow has worn off.

Wait for our full review of Rivals to know for sure, but I had way too much fun getting in the game and tearing up the streets with my fellow critics. Look for more on Need For Speed: Rivals when it's OK for me to open my big mouth again.
