iPhone 13 yellow tint fix

iPhone 13 displays are giving some users a nasty surprise

It’s iPhone 13 launch day, though many Apple fans aren’t happy with the default display settings. Likely owing to the OLED screens, many users are finding that their new iPhone display features a distracting yellow tint. This seemingly impacts standard iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, and iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max handsets. Fortunately for early adopters of the new Apple smartphone range, there’s an iPhone 13 yellow tint fix accessible via the iOS 15 settings.

How to fix the iPhone 13 yellow tint display problem

Here’s how to solve the iPhone 13 yellow display tint issue:

  1. Unlock the iPhone 13.
  2. Open the Settings app.
  3. Scroll down and tap the “Accessibility” option.
  4. Tap the “Display & Text Size” setting.
  5. Select “Color Filters” from the list.
  6. Enable Color Filters, then tap the “Color Tint” option.
  7. Alter the “Intensity” and “Hue” settings to achieve accurate colors.

Setting an iPhone 13 Pro Max to the Intensity and Hue pictured above achieved true-to-life colors during GameRevolution’s testing. The exact settings may differ on a case-by-case basis, however, so feel free to experiment to achieve the best possible result.

OLED screens can display warm as standard, and that certainly seems to be the case for a lot of iPhone 13 handsets. This can result in a yellow screen tint that doesn’t impact functionality but is nonetheless distracting. Fixing the problem is quick and easy, which is fortunate considering the cost of Apple’s brand-new iPhone 13 range of products.

All iPhone 13 handsets come pre-installed with iOS 15, the new Apple operating system software. The California tech giant is running into problems here as well — for example, many dislike the new Safari browser address bar. Similar to the yellow screen hue issue, however, the solution is easy to implement.

iOS 15 is also lacking some key features at launch, namely SharePlay and ProRes video shooting. The former is coming in the iOS 15.1 update, while, unfortunately, the latter doesn’t have an exact ETA.
