Fortnite 3.33 Update Patch Notes

New Fortnite update addresses a crashing issue on PC, PS5, PS4, and Android

The Fortnite 3.33 update is now rolling out across PC, PS5, PS4, and Android platforms. The new Fortnite patch for today, October 1, implements a number of key fixes, including one solution that stops a common crashing issue. The good news is that this patch does not require any downtime, which means players won’t have to wait the usual hour or two before they can play again. The new patch will be downloaded when users next start up the game.

Version 3.33

  • Removes “Auto download High Resolution Textures” option to prevent crashing
  • Stability improvements

Those aren’t the most exciting patch notes, especially when you compare them to the previous update.

While dataminers will no doubt be looking into the latest build of the game, I wouldn’t hold your breath in the hope that something interesting will pop up. These updates are usually small in size and content only what the developer has detailed.

Those disappointed by this relatively unexciting patch will want to wait for next week’s update. The patches deployed earlier in the week are traditionally the ones with cool content drops and new things for players to check out.

For now, install the latest update to enjoy the most stable version of Fortnite. Oh, and players no longer have to fear crashing out when clicking the “Auto download High Resolution Textures” notification, as it has been completely removed!

Expect to see a new update next week. Until then get back to playing!

In other news, Battlefield 2042 won’t support keyboard and mouse on consoles at launch. Both Xbox and PlayStation users will have to use controllers.

During TGS 2021, Xbox announced that Scarlet Nexus is now available on the Xbox Game Pass.
