Doctor Strange 2 villain leak

Doctor Strange 2’s villain possibly leaked by LEGO set

There’s been a Doctor Strange 2 villain leak and it comes via one of the unlikeliest sources, a new LEGO set. The Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness villain still hasn’t officially been revealed for the first MCU movie of 2022 but the first pictures of the new LEGO set reveal one-eyed sea monster Gigantos scaling a building. However, the Doctor Strange LEGO Gigantos Showdown set makes the creature look a lot like another major villain called Shuma-Gorath.

The Doctor Strange 2 villain leak reveals Gigantos in LEGO

Doctor Strange 2 villain leak

The first LEGO set for Doctor Strange 2 shows Strange, Wong, and newcomer America Chavez fighting with the green one-eyed tentacled monster Gigantos on the side of a building. Gigantos was actually leaked earlier this year thanks to the credits page of the actress voicing it, Yenifer Molina, but this is the first time the design of the creature has been seen — and fans already have theories about the villain’s look.

Gigantos is a really minor villain in Marvel canon, as it’s only appeared in a couple of issues fighting Namor the Sub-Mariner in 1986 and 1968. However, the design of the creature in these pictures near-perfectly matches a major Doctor Strange villain who was already rumored for the movie called Shuma-Gorath — basically a Cthulhu-like Elder God, who actually killed Strange’s mentor the Ancient One in the comics. Fans are already speculating that Gigantos will just be a servant or alias of Shuma-Gorath, whose mind-melting powers would be a good fit for the title.

This is certainly not the only time recently an upcoming LEGO set has seemingly leaked details from a major movie — there’s also a possible assault on the Batcave in The Batman and The Vulture (Michael Keaton) might be the final member of the Sinister Six in Spider-Man: No Way Home, if the LEGO sets are to be believed. As for Doctor Strange 2, the movie will now open May 6, 2022, and is also rumored to somehow feature Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
