Team Fortress 2 Arcade Is a Beat-‘Em-Up

Eric Ruth, the genius behind retro-makes (I'm patenting that word) for Left 4 Dead, DJ Hero, and Halo, has just announced, now sets his eyes on Valve's team-based shooter with Team Fortress 2 Arcade. It recreates the franchise into a four-player 2.5D early-'90s title similar to Captain America and The Avengers, with each of the original's classes being playable and their unique moves translated to robot-destroying abilities.

The game was revealed during Gamescape where indie developers showed off their wares and projects at a Baltimore's free arts festival, Artscape. Check out the nine-minute demo, hosted by pikimal:

Eric Ruth has slated Team Fortress 2 Arcade to be complete at end of the August for PC.
