The Sims 4 Rewards Program Gives The Sims 3 Fans 13 Unlockables

The Sims 4 Rewards program will be giving up to thirteen in-game items to players who own and have registered The Sims 3 and its numerous expansions. Players will automatically receive these items in Build Mode when they launch The Sims 4 and can place these bonus objects on their lot straight from Build Mode.

For owning The Sims 3, players will earn the Llama, Ultimate Freezer Bunny, and Plumbob reward status, and the "Let There Be Plumbobs" lamp. For owning each of the eleven specific The Sims 3 expansions, players will also receive a special crystal lamp aptly named after their expansion's theme.

I will say that I know what these lamps do, and that I'm probably one of the only people who know since only a handful of journalists probably own The Sims 3 and all of their expansions (as confirmed inthe photo above). Now, I can't say exactly what they do yet apart from confirming that, yes, they "will affect your Sims' emotions and personalities in a unique way" according to the FAQ and that it will be important to place them into your home thoughtfully and strategically. I'm still not sure what the bonus statues do, though they probably will at the very least increase the environment score of a room.

You'll learn more when my preview for The Sims 4 goes live on Monday. You can check out my create-a-Sims on The Sims 4 here.
