Former Crytek USA CEO Forms Indie Studio, Looking Into Darksiders 3

David Adams, the former CEO of Crytek USA and founder of Vigil Games, has started up an independent studio called Gunfire Games.

Adams left Crytek just a few weeks ago, shortly after reports of financial trouble at the company began to emerge. Much of the Crytek USA team was made up of former Vigil Games employees, and it stands to reason that many of them will be joining the staff at Gunfire.

As such, it should come as no surprise to hear that Adams is looking into working with Nordic Games to create a new entry in the Darksiders franchise. "That is one of the options we are exploring. But we don't want to jump into something immediately. We want to weigh our options," Adams told Polygon.

"We want to build upon what we've done on the past," he added. "Third-person, games with a lot of characters, adventure aspects, player progression, hunt cool bosses, fantastical creatures. We have some ideas kicking around."

Would you be interested in a third entry in the Darksiders franchise? I'd love to see what Gunfire Games could do with the series on the new consoles.
