PS Vita and PS4 Will Get New Customization Options and Theme Support

Sony's pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference offered up new game announcements though it also represented an opportunity for the company to talk about how its hardware will update over the next year.

To that end, Sony says that they'll give PS4 owners the ability to customize the way their dashboard screens look when it adds theme support in firmware 2.0. While Sony's console updates have proven steady since launch, firmware 2.0 will also provide PS4 owners with the ability to upload gameplay video directly to Youtube.

Sony's conference also had details on how PlayStation Vita will update in the coming weeks with firmware 3.30. This will also add the ability to add a custom theme to your Vita home screen, though gamers can already change the images residing behind the icons in the Vita menu.

Tokyo Game Show is September 18th and 19th, so stick with GameRevolution for more coverage leading up to and through the conference.
