Here’s Why the Ice Climbers Weren’t Included in Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U

The Ice Climbers won't be making a return in the upcoming fourth installment in Nintendo's popular brawling series, and Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai has explained why in the latest issue of Famitsu.

According to a translation of the column, courtesy of Nintendo Everything, "it seems they were running in the Wii U version, but due to the required hardware power, the team couldn’t make them work in the 3DS game. There wasn’t as high a priority given to series that are unlikely to have another installment at this time."

Are you disappointed at the fact that the ice-climbing duo won't be returning to Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U? I was never a huge fan of the pair myself.
