Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass

Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass Wave One Release Window Announced

Splatoon 3’s expansion pass has officially been shown off at the February 2023 Nintendo Direct, and a Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass Wave One release window was announced.

Splatoon 3 DLC to come soon

The expansion pass was just announced at the February 2023 Nintendo Direct, and will seemingly consist of two different waves. The first wave, Inkopolis, is due for release in the Spring of this year and will include new maps that fans will recognize from previous games in the series, new shop items, and everything Splatoon fans have come to expect. The first wave is called Inkopolis, and features a ‘functional version of Inkopolis from the original Splatoon game’.

The second wave looks a lot stranger, though. There’s no inkling (heh) of what it is beyond a title, but if we had to guess it looks like it might be a story DLC set in a world without color, entitled Side Order. We’ll likely hear more about this part of the expansion later in the year, after the launch of Inkopolis itself. It’ll be interesting to see if Splatoon 3 can retain players going further into this expansion pass.
