Quan Chi Returns in Mortal Kombat X

Taking his turn as presenter, Executive Producer Shaun Himmerick in the video above has revealed the return of the master manipulator and necromancer Quan Chi to the upcoming Mortal Kombat X.

In the video, the narration says that Quan Chi has resurrected fallen warriors, so does this mean that the story this time around will be about fighting dead heroes from MK9? Could I be onto something?

Like all of the characters on the roster, Quan Chi will come with three variations: Summoner, Warlock, and Sorcerer. The Sorcerer option improves the variety of spells at his disposal with the ability to buff himself and nerf his opponent, whereas the Warlock option gives him the ability to manipulate inter-dimensional whirlpools for even trickier attacks and setups. Finally, the Summoner option grants Quan Chi the ability to summon bats that can glide from above, shoot fireballs, or glide along the floor.

Mortal Kombat X releases on April 14, 2015 for Xbox One, PS4, PC, X360, and PS3, and you can read our hands-on preview for the title from PAX.
